About
Donna Cahill
I am a Bachelor qualified Counsellor, registered with the Australian Counselling Association
with additional qualifications in Sandplay Therapy and Symbol Work Therapy and have been
practicing as a Counsellor for 10 years.
I have extensive clinical practice working with individuals, families and children as well as group facilitation.
I also bring additional years and experience from my years practicing in the Welfare and Advocacy sector.

I have been assisting people to live their best lives via therapeutic counselling, mental health support, welfare and advocacy
since 2014 and have had the pleasure of diversifying my work skills through the practice and study of
Participatory Community Development which I hold dear to my heart.

Supporting people to explore their challenges with a kind
and curious lens on themselves is one of my greatest reasons for committing to the work that I do.
The work of unraveling the challenges, finding new meaning and insight is a liberating moment for
my clients and that translates into their daily lives and into their relationships. This is what gets me up in the
morning. Knowing that the work I do supports the changes my clients need in their lives.

My years of working with families, couples, kiddos and individuals from all walks of life has equipped me with
a wide range of skills to suit the needs of a diverse range of clientele. I love to write my own programs
and develop my own resources along the way. With each client bringing their own unique wisdom into
session, my learning increases also.

My admiration for each client is genuine and never a day goes by when I don’t recognise the
resilience and courage each client brings to their own personal healing journey.
When you work in therapy with me you can be assured that you will be seen as a person, not a label,
a diagnosis, or a problem.

Heading into therapy is a significant undertaking and I honor the courage you muster to step into that space. It is worth it!
You are worth it!

I look forward to walking beside you.
